The Holiday Stroll in 2007

The Everett Chamber of Commerce and the City of Everett hosted a great holiday evening of cheer. The Event, held on November 26th, commenced at 4:30 p.m. at Wehner Park in North Everett with an opening prayer from Rev. Tom Coots and an entertaining choir of caroling Girl Scouts. Mayor Carlo DeMaria opened up the evening festivities with a few words. The Trolley, generously sponsored by Everett Credit Union and Schnitzer Northeast was also there to transport the audience to each stop along the way.

The next stop, Glendale Towers, where we were greeted by residents patiently waiting to hear Christmas Carols once again, being sung by the Girl Scouts.  Refreshments including hot chocolate which was generously donated by Honey Dew Donuts was served to warm us up as we continued our festivities to our next stop….Everett Square.

Last but not least, Everett Square and the  Everett Co-operative Bank. Children were anxiously lined up in the bank to take pictures with Santa while you could enjoy a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate with cookies generously provided and served by the bank and their very pleasant staff.

The bitter cold weather didn’t keep the huge crowd from joining us and in conclusion, we listened to holiday spirited greetings from Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the Girl Scouts and Brownies did a fantastic job and warmed our hearts with several Christmas Carols.  It was a good time had by all.

The Everett Chamber of Commerce and the City of Everett wish you a “Happy Healthy Holiday Season!!” and a “Happy New Year”.
